Home Warranty Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing Blue Sky Heating and Air. Our goal is to provide you with the best HVAC service possible. However, due to limitations and common misunderstandings related to working with home warranty companies, we ask that you carefully read our Terms and Conditions. By keeping your scheduled appointment, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Independent Contractor Status

Blue Sky Heating and Air is an independent contractor that performs services on behalf of various home warranty companies. We are not directly affiliated with or employed by any home warranty provider.

2. Coverage and Claims

All decisions regarding warranty coverage and claims are solely determined by the home warranty company. Blue Sky Heating and Air does not influence or decide what is or isn’t covered under your home warranty policy. For any questions or disputes regarding coverage, homeowners must contact their home warranty provider directly.

3. Reviews and Public Commentary

Due to frequent misunderstandings related to warranty coverage and services, we kindly request that homeowners refrain from posting negative reviews regarding any type of service provided by Blue Sky Heating and Air on social media or public platforms. This includes but is not limited to warranty-related services, repair timelines, and customer service interactions.

Doing so will be considered a breach of contract, and the homeowner may be held responsible for all attorney fees, court costs, and any other related legal expenses incurred as a result.

4. Repair Timeline

Repairs through the home warranty process can take approximately up to 6 weeks, depending on parts availability, approval processes, and scheduling constraints.

5. System Age and Recommendations

For HVAC systems over 10 years old, Blue Sky Heating and Air strongly recommends replacement to ensure better efficiency, performance, and reliability.

If the homeowner chooses to proceed with repairs on an older system rather than replacement, they assume full liability for any future breakdowns or damages resulting from continued use of the system.

6. Services Not Provided

Blue Sky Heating and Air does not provide services for:

  • Zoned HVAC systems
  • Mini-split systems
  • Ductwork modifications or repairs
  • Communication/control systems
7. Emergency Situations

In the case of an HVAC emergency, we advise homeowners not to go through the home warranty company, as the standard process involves multiple steps and may delay the resolution. Direct, out-of-pocket service may be a more appropriate option in urgent situations.
